Account Deletion Policy – Mikoo App

1. Introduction
At Mikoo, we respect your privacy and data rights. This Account Deletion Policy outlines the process of account deletion, what data is erased, and how long we retain certain data post-deletion.
We comply with:
- 🇮🇳 Indian IT Act 2000 & Digital Personal Data Protection Bill (DPDPB)
- 🇪🇺 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- 🇺🇸 California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
2. How to Delete Your Account via the App
You can delete your Mikoo account directly through the app by following these steps:
Mikoo App → Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account
Once confirmed, your account will be permanently deactivated and data deletion will begin immediately.
3. What Happens After Deletion
Once you confirm account deletion:
- Your personal data (name, age, gender, photos) is permanently erased.
- Chat history, call logs, gifts, and usage records are deleted.
- Any linked login (Google/Phone) is unlinked.
- Coins or wallet balance will not be refunded.
- Financial or legal records may be retained for lawful reasons.
⚠️ Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered under any circumstances.
4. Data Retention Policy
- 90% of all user data is erased within 2 hours to 1 days of account deletion.
- Encrypted backups (if any) are securely retained for up to 7 days.
- Financial or legal records (like transaction logs) are only retained if legally necessary.
5. Account Deletion via Email (Alternate Method)
If you cannot delete your account through the app, you may request deletion via email:

Please include the following:
- Your registered phone number or Google email
- Reason for deletion (optional)
Your request will be processed within 7 business days.
6. For International Users
- GDPR: European Union users' data is handled as per GDPR standards.
- CCPA: US users can opt out of data sharing or request deletion.
All international data transfers follow secure encryption and protection protocols.
7. User Rights (Post-Deletion Limitations)
Once your account is deleted:
- You cannot request a copy of your deleted data.
- You cannot modify or correct deleted data.
- You cannot recover your account or past activity.
This is done to fully honor your deletion request.
8. Exception in Case of Abuse or Fraud
We reserve the right to delay deletion if:
- The account is under investigation
- Abuse, harassment, or fraud has been reported
- There is a pending dispute or violation of terms
Such cases are reviewed carefully to protect platform integrity.
